Hey mom! Yeah I heard about the shooting from a family in the ward that we ate lunch with yesterday. Me and Elder Hanks were both like ¨Wow that is so crazy that stuff like that is happening up there.¨ I have not heard a single story like that that has happened here in Argentina. It is crazy how stuff like that is happening, you can honestly say that it is a mental illness but a mental illness from not knowing the fact that you are a child of God and that God and family are important. Maybe mental illnesses are a real thing and the only cure is the gospel. Who knows but like you said I´m sure the biggest thing to do with it is that families are so broken in today´s society and the Gospel just doesn´t have that big of an importance in some people´s lives. Anyways that is crazy, the craziest thing that happened is when that lady got robbed right in front of us out of nowhere. The best thing I ate was honestly the reese´s and snickers that were in the package that you guys sent me! The most spiritual thing is probably when we went to the baptism´s of the Pinos that was pretty cool to see and inviting every single person we are talking to to be baptized! Anyways it has been a great week! Love you so much mom! Have an awesome week ahead and hope to be able to live chat with you in a minute!

Hey mom! Love you too! Thanks for all the things that you do for our family and always thanking me for serving a mission it really means a lot to me! I love being able to read all of your emails that keep pushing me to keep going I have always wondered how other missionaries do it without their families even writing them. There are some missionaries who don´t have any support from their families at all because they are all from another faith. It would be really hard. I really am grateful for all the support you guys give me every week it really makes it so much more easier. Elder Hanks is doing really well! We are just trying to squeeze out some baptisms for this month honestly. We found Sergio again finally! I saw Daniel again! My first convert from Padua he was at the chapel of Los pinos the other elders chapel! It was so great to talk to him and see him again! He is doing really great as well. I would say the purpose of life is trying to become more and more like our Savior Jesus Christ and trying to learn more about him and how to become more like him. He is the goal of who we should try to become like. I think that is one of our purposes in life, anyways I´m excited to hear the audios of you guys! Love you mom! Have a great week ahead if we don´t chat online! Love you mom!

Dear family and friends,

Hi everyone! It has been a little bit since I have written an email! I have lately been sending a lot of audio recordings, I figured I could be able to talk a little bit more about my week instead of just trying to remember it all while I was writing. There was a lot of changes over transfers, I have the opportunity to train, right now I´m training a new elder fresh out of the MTC his name is Elder Hanks. He is from Heber Utah and he is way hiliarious. He is pretty prepared to be out here. He is already speaking farely good spanish and me and him can be able to teach lesson 1 together which is really awesome! Not a whole lot of new missionaries are able to do that coming right out of the MTC and in spanish as well! I definetly had some trouble trying to teach it when I first got into the field. Anyways it was a pretty normal week of working, it went by pretty fast but the only thing was we didn´t find too many new investigators this week. Everyone is out of town and has been out of town for a while so the streets are pretty empty. It makes it a little harder to contact but oh well. We went to the offices to pick up our new companions and me and Elder Hanks met up there and then took a remis which is like a taxi to our apartment. We made it to the apartment and then we started working. Pday we went to italia ice cream like always, and other than that it has been a pretty normal week. We lost contact with Sergio and we are not sure what happened to him but we are trying to find him again. We had an investigator come to church yesterday but she left after the first hour because she wasn´t feeling well so she missed sacrament meeting. Anyways that is everything that pretty much happened for the week yesterday was fast sunday so I wanted to share my testimony in spanish with you guys.
Thanks everyone for the love and support like always! Can´t wait to talk to you all next week! Love you all!

I know that this church is the church of Jesus Christ and without the authority of the Priesthood of God we would not have the ordinances necessary to return to our Heavenly Father. What we are really doing is helping the children of God come back and live with Him again. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God like the Bible. Without it we would be like any other church. To fulfill the law of two witnesses as it says in the Bible we have the Book of Mormon as another testimony of Jesus Christ. I know that also Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and gave his life so that we have the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ that are not found in other churches. I know that the Lord lives, and that He died for me. He suffered for my sins and gave me a chance to return and live with God again with my family as well. I am grateful for these things that we have in these last days. I share these things in the sacred name of our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. Thanks everyone for the love and support like always! Can not wait to talk to you all next week! Love you all!
