Queridos familiares y amigos,
Hey everyone, can´t believe another week has passed by! This is going by way to fast seemed like just yesterday I was in Padua thinking about the big long 9 week transfer that was coming with the new mission president! Now we are 2 weeks away from ending it! Paso del Rey has been a blast we are going to have two more baptisms this Saturday! We are way excited! We have been teaching the family of the two that were recently baptized and they are preparing for their baptisms this Saturday! It´s been a ton of fun to teach them and help them prepare. One thing I have learned this week is that you don´t want to be alone for your whole life. We have been teaching this guy that lives all alone and he is not married or has any family that is close to him. It is a way sad lifestyle. It definitely has made me realize how important marriage is and having a family. I used to not think of marriage as a number one priority for me when I get home. Honestly though it is super important. Family is so much in this life, because I have also seen people who have nothing but their family and they are more happy than people who have no one in their lives. Anyways that is a little something interesting I´ve learned on the mission sorry I didn´t have a whole to write about this week but that was the important lesson for the week. Love you all! Thanks for the support and love! Everyone have an awesome week!

¡Hola!
This week has gone by super fast! I can´t believe this 9 week transfer is almost over! I have the same amount of time in Paso del Rey as I did in Padua! It has been a great week though! Beti and Brenda are doing really well going to church and learning more about the gospel and growing in their testimonies. We have been teaching Brenda´s sister named Maira and she is learning right now and preparing for her baptism for August 4 we are really excited for her and hope that she will be able to prepare by the time the day comes. It is really interesting how my perspective of things has changed since being on the mission. There I things that I used to do before the mission that I don´t think I would do anymore. It is interesting how different my perspective is on things in life. It has been a joy though to be a missionary it definitely makes me feel good to know that I am helping other people to be able to receive the ordinances necessary to be able to return and live with our Heavenly Father again. It is amazing how much the Lord helps you out too when you try to do what is right. Yo nunca pensaba antes que yo podía aprender español. I never though before that I would be able to learn spanish. It is quite amazing the gifts that God has for us if we just humble ourselves and believe that He can strengthen our weaknesses. Well I´m not perfect with Spanish still, there is still a lot that I need to learn but it is amazing where I am at right now. You definetly realize how important the Gospel is. If you have the Gospel in your life and you strive to keep the commandments of God He will come through for you and help you out with the rest in your life. I have definetly seen that in my own and life and what is even more cool is seeing it in the lives of other people that you are teaching. It has been an amazing experience and I am glad that I came out to do it and really 2 years is not a long time when compared to the rest of your life. It is an opportunity that you will not want to miss and you won´t regret it I can promise that. Anyways thanks for all the support and love! I love talking to you all and can´t wait to do it again next week! Love you all! Tengan una buena semana y recuerden que El Señor les ama mucho y Él quiere que tengan felicidad en sus vidas! Love you all!

This has been a really great week! Sometimes you have those rougher weeks where it can sometimes be really hard and you might even start to get a little homesick but there is always a bright light at the end of the tunnel! Throughout the week I started to miss home a little bit, and I was a little sad throughout the week. We had interviews this last friday with President Resek. We traveled to the mission offices and had some training and a lunch. We then had interviews with President Resek. I was the last one to be interviewed actually and we had the baptism at 7 o clock. President Resek offered to give us a ride over to Paso del Rey because it was late so we could make it to the baptism. He hadn´t interviewed me just yet until we got to the chapel. I was able to talk to him about how I was doing and he was able to give me some advice to help me out. He talked about how the first 6 months are really hard normally for missionaries when it comes to being homesick. He then talked about how from 6 months to a year is when missionaries start learning at a rapid pace. He said most growth as far as experience, the language, and spiritual growth starts accelerating rapidly after 6 months up to a year. He basically said that I´m entering the best part of my mission as far as growth is concerned. It helped me to realize that there is still so much to do in the mission and so much to still learn. He even asked me about how I would feel with training someone in a transfer or two. It surprised me when he asked me and helped me to have a lot of confidence in myself. Anyways the interview was just really good and it helped me to have more confidence and believe that I can still continue to go forward strong. Then right after the interview we had our baptism and he stayed for it! It was such a great baptism, there were so many people from the ward that were there supporting it! After the baptismal service there was refreshments in the relief society room. Everyone in the ward was having a good time chatting and everything. One sister in the ward was like ¨Hey everyone in the ward loves baptismal services so just keep lining one up every week and make this a regular thing!¨ It was so great! One baptism that I will definitely remember for the rest of my mission! We have been teaching Brenda and Beti a lot in their home and it has been so much fun to teach them! Beti always makes us mate cocido which is kind of like green tea down here. We always have great lessons with them too. They have a really strong spirit and it is so special to be a part of it! Anyways always remember that there is a light at the end of the tunnel whenever you feel sad or down. The bad moments don´t last forever and before you know it the good ones just start to roll in! Anyways love you all it has been so much fun to talk to everyone! Reading your emails every week really helps me to keep going forward! Have a great week everyone!

This week has been such an awesome week! We have had so much fun! A baptism always lifts your spirits and makes you really happy! It definitely reminds you why you are out serving a mission in the first place. We had a member in the ward baptize her so there could always be someone in the ward there for her, because eventually the missionaries are gone. Brenda was so much fun to teach though! She has such a powerful testimony of the gospel! I think she knows more about the gospel than I do! She has been reading from the Book of Mormon so much and she loved the story of Joseph Smith and how he was searching for the true church. She said it was the exact place that she was at, she was searching for a church to join because religion is important to her. We then showed up all of a sudden and started teaching her and her family and the rest is history. She was so prepared to receive the gospel! Her mom is going to be baptized either this week or the next week! We still have to figure out what day we are going to do it. We have been having so much fun in Paso del Rey! A lot of success is heading our way here! We had divisions with some elders in our district this last tuesday. I went with an elder named Elder Ponte from Perú I worked with him a little bit this last Tuesday in Paso del Rey! It was a ton of fun, it is a lot of fun to get to know other members of the church that live in different countries! It makes you realize that the gospel is so true to have so many people accept it into their lives! It has been so much fun to be a missionary! So many different experiences that you get to have every day! I have definitely enjoyed it and it has already been 6 months! It´s incredible! Anyways sorry I didn´t have much time to write today but love you all! Have a great week and I can´t wait to talk again next week!

¡Hola!
This has been a fun and different week than normal. This last Friday we had divisions with the other elders in our district. I went over to their apartment and worked with another elder over there for the day and stayed the night. The next day on saturday we had a zone conference with another zone and we went to a different chapel outside of our area to meet the new mission president, President Resek. It was really fun, I was able to see my last comp Elder McDonald and see how he was doing. He is a zone leader over there in the area now so that was fun to see him again. I also was able to see an elder that was in the MTC with me. I was with this elder in the MTC named Elder Sparks he was in the same district as me in the MTC. It was really fun to talk to him again and we were talking about all the different stories we had and what our areas were like and that kind of thing. It was really fun we also had lunch there as well before President Resek arrived. When President Resek came he went around and shook all our hands and got to know us a little bit. We were able to get to know him a little bit and his family. They had a little training meeting and after the training meeting we headed back to our normal areas to proselyte the rest of the day. That was really fun especially to see Elder Sparks again, we then have been making preparations for Brenda to be baptized! She is going to be baptized this Saturday and then confirmed the Sunday after! We are so excited for her! Her mom and her other 2 siblings are also preparing to be baptized so we could potentially baptize all four of them this month! We have been planning Brenda´s baptism with the Ward mission leader and we are so excited! I just recently checked on how Daniel is doing in Padua, because there is a web page for the mission that you can check to see how your recent converts are doing. Daniel has the Aaronic priesthood right now and he is a Priest he has been doing family history work as well and taking names to the temple! He went one time to do baptisms for the dead! I was so excited when I read it! I didn´t know you could check their progress to see how they are doing until Elder Cobb told me. When I read it I was just filled with so much joy! I was worried it was going to say that he went inactive or something like that but when I read it I was so happy! It made me realize that I am here for a reason and there is so much joy in this work. It made me so happy to read that he was doing well still! Yesterday was fast and testimony meeting as well and they announced Brenda´s baptism in the ward. We hope that the members will come but we will just wait and see. I also wanted to share my testimony in Spanish too since it was fast and testimony yesterday.

Anyways can´t wait to talk next week! Everyone have a great week! Love you all and I look forward to talking again!
